Via Port Rotterdam Hosts Fonda Speedway Race Car Show March 20-22

FONDA, NY – After a bustling ‘Chill Factor’ event on Jan. 1, Fonda Speedway management turns its attention to the annual “pre-season” Race Car Show.

The kickoff event takes place at the Via Port Rotterdam, located in Schenectady, N.Y., March 20-22 featuring race cars on display, driver autographs, schedules distributed, season passes, licenses and apparel on sale and much more.

The show is free to the public and takes place during mall hours.

Entries are now being accepted by e-mailing Jamie Page at jpage15@stny.rr.com. There is no fee to enter. Participants will enter the mall on Thursday (March 19) and leave on Sunday (March 22) at the close of business each day.

Cars representing all the speedway’s five weekly divisions in addition to touring series are welcome to participate in the show. The Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modified Racing Series will boast an expansive “Vintage Alley” presence.

The Track of Champions Fonda Speedway has hosted the best in stock car racing for 75 seasons. The speedway operates weekly on Saturday nights from April through August plus several special events. Fonda Speedway is located on the Montgomery County Fairgrounds off New York State Thruway Exit No. 28 at 21 S. Bridge Street Fonda, NY 12068.
