‘Chill Factor’ Enduro Opens Fonda Speedway Season on Jan. 1

FONDA, NY – Season No. 75 is approaching quickly.

Fonda Speedway’s first on-track action of 2026 is scheduled for Day No. 1 of the New Year with the ‘Chill Factor’ Enduro on Thursday, Jan. 1. The program’s headliner is a 50-lap Enduro race to cure the mid-winter racing withdrawals for race fans in the Mohawk Valley.

Gates open at 10 a.m. in the pit area, 11 a.m. in the grandstand area and racing gets underway at 1 p.m.

Grandstand admission is $10. Kids 11 and under are FREE. Pit admission is $30 and Kids 11 and under pay $10.

Concessions will be available in the grandstand and pit areas. The Beer Booth will be open in the grandstand area, as well. Portable restrooms from DVR will be set up.

Infield viewing for spectators will be determined by conditions of the parking areas on race day.

Competitors may register cars in-person at the speedway the day of the event.

The ‘Chill Factor’ Enduro carries an extreme weather date of Saturday, Jan. 3 if needed.

Since 1953, the Track of Champions Fonda Speedway has hosted the best in stock car racing. The speedway operates weekly on Saturday nights from April through August plus several special events. Fonda Speedway is located on the Montgomery County Fairgrounds off New York State Thruway Exit No. 28 at 21 S. Bridge Street Fonda, NY 12068.
