Pre-Season Tradition: Via Port Rotterdam Hosts Fonda Speedway Race Car Show March 20-22

ROTTERDAM, NY – A pre-season tradition.

The annual Fonda Speedway Race Car Show has been set for 2026 at the Via Port Rotterdam in Rotterdam, N.Y., March 20-22. The show takes added significance next season as the Track of Champions celebrates its 75th season.

Race cars will move into the mall on Thursday, March 19 and move out at the close of business on Sunday, March 22.

The show takes place during mall hours: 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.

All Fonda Speedway weekly divisions are invited to participate in addition to any touring classes/series that compete at the Track of Champions.

Prior to the Race Car Show, Fonda Speedway opens its 75th season on New Year’s Day (Thursday, Jan. 1) with the ‘Chill Factor’ Enduro offering $500 to the winner. This event carries an “extreme weather date” of Jan. 3.

Since 1953, the Track of Champions Fonda Speedway has hosted the best in stock car racing. The speedway operates weekly on Saturday nights from April through August plus several special events. Fonda Speedway is located on the Montgomery County Fairgrounds off New York State Thruway Exit No. 28 at 21 S. Bridge Street Fonda, NY 12068.
