The Beat Goes On: Saturday Rain Forces Fonda Cancelation; Meet & Greet Now June 14

FONDA, NY – The beat goes on.

Once again, beautiful weekday weather transitioned to a wet Saturday and Fonda Speedway has been forced to cancel its racing program. Heavy overnight rain followed by predicted afternoon showers led the speedway’s promotional team to cancel its June 7 program.

The decision was made at 12:30 p.m. to pull the plug on Randall Implements Night at the Track of Champions.

Pre-sale tickets will be refunded through the My Race Pass app.

Racing resumes next Saturday, June 14 with M2 Metal LLC Night featuring the RUSH Late Models in their first 2025 appearance plus the Amsterdam Truck Center Modifieds, Swagger Factory Apparel Sportsman, Leatherstocking Credit Union Pro Stocks, Montgomery County Office for Aging Inc. Limited Sportsman and Fonda Fair Four Cylinders.

Meet & Greet will be rescheduled to next Saturday, June 14.

Adult grandstand admission is $15. Seniors (ages 65 and over) pay $13. Kids 11 and under are FREE.

Infield Drive-In Parking is $75 and includes four passes.

Pit admission is $40 (Non-Members), $35 (Members) and $10 (Kids ages 11 and under).

After the 14th, attention turns to Wednesday, June 18 when the F.X. Caprara Car Companies Thunder on the Thruway Series takes center stage: $4,000-to-win Amsterdam Truck Center Modifieds, $1,500-to-win Swagger Factory Apparel Sportsman, $1,000-to-win Leatherstocking Credit Union Pro Stocks plus Fonda Fair Four Cylinders and the first-ever appearance by the Crown Vics.

All 2025 Fonda Speedway events will be broadcast live on FloRacing (www.floracing.tv).

Since 1953, the Track of Champions Fonda Speedway has hosted the best in stock car racing. The speedway operates weekly on Saturday nights from April through August plus several special events. Fonda Speedway is located on the Montgomery County Fairgrounds off New York State Thruway Exit No. 28 at 21 S. Bridge Street Fonda, NY 12068.
