Sunday, May 11 Listed As Potential Dave Lape Memorial Rain Date

On Wednesday night at the Montgomery County Agricultural Society monthly meeting, the board approved a rain date for this Sunday, May 11 at Fonda Speedway. As we have said in prior drivers’ meetings, we do not plan to make Sunday rain dates a regular occurrence.

However, with the plethora of early season rainouts and shorter season due to the annual Fonda Fair, we plan to use Sunday as an option this week.

If Sunday is used, gates open at 3 p.m., with hot laps at 5 p.m. and racing at 6 p.m. to allow time to be spent with family on Mother’s Day before heading out to the Track of Champions.

We wanted to get the word out now so our fans, teams and staff can make plans.
