Fired Up for Fonda: 2025 ViaPort Rotterdam Racecar Show Draws 79 Cars, Huge Crowds

ROTTERDAM, NY – Fired up for Fonda.

ViaPort Rotterdam hosted 79 race cars and thousands of race fans to kick off the 2025 season for Fonda Speedway with the annual Racecar Show Friday-Sunday.

“If this weekend’s car show is any indication of our upcoming season, there will be big things at Fonda Speedway in 2025,” promoter Brett Deyo said. “The mall was packed all weekend with fans picking up new merchandise and season passes.”

Racecars representing the Amsterdam Truck Center Modifieds, Swagger Factory Apparel Sportsman, Leatherstocking Credit Union Pro Stocks, Montgomery County Office for Aging Limited Sportsman, Fonda Fair Four Cylinders, Online Performance/Stone Motorsports Street Stocks, Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modified Racing Series and more packed the mall for the three-day show.

Attention now turns to the first on-track activity of 2025 with Open Practice on Saturday, April 12. All divisions are welcome. Pits open at 1 p.m. Cars will be on track from 4-7 p.m.

Pit admission is $35 (Non-Members) and $30 (Members). Kids 11 and under pay $10 in the pit area. Grandstand admission is FREE.

Racing begins on Saturday, April 19 with the Jumpin’ Jack Johnson Season Opener.

• Amsterdam Truck Center Modifieds – 32 laps, $4,012 to win
• Swagger Factory Apparel Sportsman – 25 laps, $1,212 to win
• Leatherstocking Credit Union Pro Stocks – 20 laps, $812 to win
• Montgomery County Office for Aging Limited Sportsman – 15 laps, $512 to win
• Fonda Fair Four Cylinders – 12 laps, $212 to win

Points begin for all divisions. Pit gates open at 2 p.m., with grandstand gates unlocked at 3 p.m. Hot laps begin at 5 p.m. and racing gets underway at 6 p.m.

Admission is $22 for Adults and $20 for Seniors (ages 65 and above). Fans wearing orange will receive $2 off admission. Infield admission is $110 and includes four passes.

Pit passes are $40 (Non-Members) and $35 (Members).

Since 1953, the Track of Champions Fonda Speedway has hosted the best in stock car racing. The speedway operates weekly on Saturday nights from April through August plus several special events. Fonda Speedway is located on the Montgomery County Fairgrounds off New York State Thruway Exit No. 28 at 21 S. Bridge Street Fonda, NY 12068.
