Fonda Speedway Reaches “Advance My Track� Final Five: Voting Continues Through May 15

FONDA, NY – The final five.
On Tuesday morning, NASCAR and Advance Auto Parts announced the five finalists in the running for the “Advance My Track� $50,000 grant. Thanks to the diligence of Fonda Speedway fans, the Track of Champions has progressed to the final round.
“Thanks to all the voters in support of Fonda Speedway, we made it,� speedway promoter Brett Deyo said. “We are thrilled to be in the running for the $50,000 grant and will definitely partner with the Montgomery County Agricultural Society to put the funds to good use.�
Voting for the five finalists begins now and continues through May 15.
Visit www.advancemytrack.com, select Fonda Speedway and vote three times daily through next Monday.
One of the five venues will receive $50,000 for facility improvements. All others receive a minimum of $5,000.
Should Fonda earn the 50k, restorations to the covered grandstand and expanded Kids Club area.
“We could use all your support to bring Fonda Speedway to the next level,� Deyo added.
Joining Fonda as finalists in the Advance Auto Parts “Advance My Track� program are Adams County Speedway in Corning, Iowa, Alaska Raceway Park in Palmer, Alaska, Autodrome Granby in Granby, Quebec and Florence Motor Speedway in Timmonsville, S.C.
Racing resumes this Saturday, May 13 at Fonda Speedway with “Dollar Night� presented by Holmes & Kugler Towing offering $1 grandstand admission for a complete program of Amsterdam Truck Center Modifieds, Swagger Factory Apparel Crate 602 Sportsman, Below Zero Ice Cream Pro Stocks, Montgomery County Office for Aging Limited Sportsman and Fonda Fair Four Cylinders.
Saturday’s event – and all races at Fonda Speedway – will be broadcast live on FloRacing (www.floracing.tv) as part of the $150 annual subscription.
Since 1953, the “Track of Champions� Fonda Speedway has hosted the best in stock car racing. Under the management of BD Motorsports Media LLC, the speedway will operate weekly on Saturday nights from April through August plus several special events. Fonda Speedway is located on the Montgomery County Fairgrounds off New York State Thruway Exit No. 28 at 21 S. Bridge Street Fonda, NY 12068.
