Brett Hearn Chases Leading Fifth Fonda 200 Victory Sept. 26-28 at the Track of Champions

FONDA, NY – Some of the sport’s most iconic names have put their name in the record books since the very first Fonda 200 was contested as a NASCAR Grand National event in 1955.

Only one driver has won it four times: Brett Hearn.

‘The Corporate Jet’ hopes to add a fifth ‘200’ victory to his resume at Fonda Speedway in 2019. The Fonda 200 returns to the Track of Champions Thursday-Saturday Sept. 26-28 with the largest purse structure ever offered at the half-mile track located just off New York State Thruway Exit 28.

$125,675, at minimum, will be offered to Sunoco big-block/small-block Modified competitors in the 200-lap event with $53,000 reserved for the winner.

Hearn broke through as a winner of the 200 for the first time in 1995. After the ’96 event fell to weather, Hearn recorded back-to-back triumphs in ’97 and ’98.

The most recent 200 took place 17 years ago in 2002. That marked Hearn’s fourth triumph in the prestigious event.

The Madsen Motorsports No. 20 operation has filed its entry for the revival of the 200 at the end of September.

The Break Is Over: Racing Resumes at Fonda Speedway Saturday, September 14

FONDA, NY – On September 14, the break is over.

Following a one-month setup, teardown and the 178th annual Fonda Fair, racing resumes at Fonda Speedway on the 14th as a prelude to the Fonda 200 weekend on September 26-28. A huge program of racing is in store for the famed Track of Champions presented by Dodson Construction.

Sunoco Modifieds lead the docket racing for a boosted $4,000 to win for 30 laps, the final shakedown prior to the $53,000-to-win Fonda 200. This event will feature a draw for heat-race starting positions with a redraw of top qualifiers for the main. The tire rule is relaxed to allow American Racer 33 or harder tires across the front; 44 or harder left-rear; 48 or harder right-rear. All other Fonda rules remain in effect.

The Vermont-based King of Dirt Series makes its first pilgrimage to Fonda of 2019 in the Northeast Crate Nationals 50-lapper paying a huge $2,000 to win, $1,000 for second, $300 for 10th and $150 just to take the green flag! This event also pays tow money: $75 per car.

American Racer or Hoosier tires will be permitted for the Northeast Crate Nationals per King of Dirt Series rules.

For the second time in 2019, the Super Gen Products with Champion Power Equipment CRSA 305 Sprint Cars roll into Fonda with their winged brand of excitement.

Algonkin Motel Pro Stocks will race 20 laps for an increased $1,000 to win. This event will be run under a draw/redraw format and both American Racer and Hoosier tires will be permitted.

Completing the program are feature events for the Trackside Body Works Street Stocks, Four Cylinder Cruisers and the season finale for the Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modified Series.

Gates open at 2 p.m. Hot laps will hit the track at 4:45 p.m. led by CRSA Sprint Car engine heat. Racing gets the green at 6 p.m.

$125,675 Minimum Main Event Purse Set for Return of Fonda 200 September 26-28

FONDA, NY – Over the long and storied history of Fonda Speedway, this one will stand out.

The Fonda 200 returns to the Track of Champions Thursday-Saturday Sept. 26-28 with the largest purse structure ever offered at the half-mile track located just off New York State Thruway Exit 28.

$125,675, at minimum, will be distributed to Sunoco big-block/small-block Modified competitors in the 200-lap event.

Of course, the much-talked-about $53,000 top prize has been the buzz of the Modified community since its announcement in January. But the payout through the event’s starting field is lucrative, as well.

At the end of 200 laps, the winner will receive the aforementioned $53,000-plus. Second-place takes home $20,000, followed by $10,000 for third, $7,000 for fourth and $4,000 for fifth.

The remainder of the top-10 pays as follows: sixth – $3,000; seventh – $2,500; eighth – $2,250; ninth – $2,000; and 10th – $1,750.

15th-place in this event offers $1,000, with $600 reserved to take the green.

All non-qualifiers starting a B-Main will leave with at least $100.

The Fonda 200 was run most recently in 2002 with Brett Hearn taking the victory. The very first 200 was contested in 1955.

DANNY VARIN WINS THIRD OF THE SEASON AT FONDA WHILE WARNER MAKES HISTORY AT THE “TRACK OF CHAMPIONS”

By: Ron Szczerba

Fonda, NY – The 2019 regular season at the “Track of Champions” Fonda Speedway is now complete after Benjamin Moore Paints “Championship Night” was held on Saturday evening. On Saturday evening, one driver continued his success at Fonda this season while another made history, along with his car owner, after winning the Sunoco Modified Track Championship.

Danny Varin was a winner in the Sunoco Modified division for the third time this season in his best season ever at Fonda. The win came in the Ed Munger owned, Magsarus sponsored “T-Rex Express” Hig-Fab built car and it was his 10th career win at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds track.

The history referred to above was made by Rocky Warner who drove the Jake Spraker owned #1J Teo car to his first Sunoco Modified title at the track. It was wasn’t the first title at Fonda for Warner however as he now has a track title in all four of the divisions that he has ever competed in at Fonda, a milestone that may never be reached again.

Warner’s other championships came back in the Street Stock division as co-champion in 2005 and then champion in 2007; in the Pro Stock division back in 2011; in the Crate 602 Sportsman division in 2014, 2015, 2016, & 2017; and now in the Modified division in 2019.

Warner’s car owner Jake Spraker has also seen a lot of success in the past at Fonda with this year’s title by Warner being the 10th of Spraker’s career at the “Track of Champions”. Looking back Spraker won a title in the Pro Stock division with Steve Welch in 1999; Crate 602 Sportsman titles with Warner in 2015, 2016, & 2017; a Modified title with Mike Romano in 1989 along with a Fonda 200 win that year; three Modified titles with Bobby Varin in 2005, 2006, & 2008; and one Modified title with Ronnie Johnson in 2016.

Joining Varin in the Fuccillo Automotive Mike Cole Memorial Victory Lane at Fonda on Saturday were Adam McAuliffe (Swagger factory Apparel Crate 602 Sportsman $1,000 thanks to Eric Orozco Racing), EJ McAuliffe (Montgomery County Office for Aging Inc. Limited Sportsman), Luke Horning (Algonkin Motel Pro Stocks), Cliff Haslun (Trackside Body Works Street Stocks), and Ken Hollenbeck (Four Cylinder Cruisers).

Also on hand were the Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modified Series (MVVDMS) with winners in those events being Mike Cole in the MVVDMS Antiques, John Flach in the Vintage Replica Modifieds, Dan Wood in the Vintage Replica Sportsman, and John Roese in the Vintage Replica Late Models.

Presenting trophies to all winners in victory lane on Saturday evening were Heather Graves and Olivia Greco who is Swagger Factory Apparel Crate 602 Sportsman competitor Jason Greco’s daughter.

Fonda Speedway promoter Brett Deyo started opening ceremonies for the evening by saying “I want to say thank you to all my staff and I appreciate everyone coming here this year to take a chance on us as we were all new. Fans came out on opening night under cold temperatures and you kept coming back and I appreciate that very much.”

“Thanks to the Fonda Fair Board as well for allowing me the opportunity to run their track,” Deyo continued to say. “They have been great to work with and have done many things that they didn’t have to do for us.”

“This has been an amazing season at Fonda,” Ed Biittig Sr. said during his invocation. “We don’t always know what people sitting next to us in the grandstands or bleachers are going through, but we are all family here at the track and we care about everyone’s losses whether they are humans or pets. We are blessed to get Brett Deyo and his staff here to run the Fonda Speedway and we thank them for this turnaround this year because Fonda Speedway is back.”

Mimi Lazzaro did her usual amazing job singing the National Anthem before the racing action started.

The 30-lap Sunoco Modified feature was an exciting lead swapping affair among four different drivers who led laps in the event starting with Korey Wilder who led at the drop of the green flag followed by fourth place starter Cody Bleau. Bleau got by Wilder for the race lead on the inside of turn four on lap six with the yellow out one lap later.

On the restart, Wilder took the lead back with eighth place starter Dave Constantino making his way forward to the third position by lap ten when Bleau got by Wilder for the lead on the inside of turn two. Constantino was next to lead the event after a pass on Bleau on the outside of turns one and two. The caution was out again on lap 13 when Bobby Varin came to a stop on the backstretch, he would drive to the hot pit and restart at the rear of the field.

Bleau took the lead away on the restart and when he and Constantino entered turn two, contact was made resulting in Constantino crashing hard into the backstretch wall ending his evening. On the restart, 11th place starter Danny Varin was the new second place car behind Bleau with Jessica Friesen, 12th place starter Rocky Warner, and fifth place starter Michael Maresca completing the top five at the halfway point.

The final yellow of the event was out just after Joe Kriss gave the halfway signal with his flags for Vincent Visconti who crashed into the backstretch wall. On this restart, Danny Varin was the new race leader with Warner getting the second position behind Varin. Warner gave chase but despite Varin being in lap traffic during the final five laps he was able to go on to the win followed by Warner, Bleau, Friesen, and David Schilling.
Bobby Varin made his way through the field to finish sixth after restarting at the rear of the field after pitting on lap 13.

“This car has been on rails,” Varin said in victory lane. I have to thank Jerry Higbie at Hig-Fab, car owner Ed Munger, and Dan Bedell for all that they do for me.”

“We came into this year and never expected this,” Warner said during the championship ceremony on victory lane. “We first worked out a deal to run Sportsman this year, then changed again to Modifieds, and I have to thank all of the people who stood by me and supported me this year.”

Joe Williams led at the start of the 25-lap Swagger factory Apparel Crate 602 Sportsman feature from his outside front row starting position with Brian Borst in tow. The red flag was out at the completion of lap one for Griffen Mansmith who flipped his car in turn three, ending up in the tire wall when the car settled down. He was not injured in the wreck.

Williams continued to lead on the restart with the top five on lap 10 consisting of Williams, Borst, fourth place starter Joe Orlando, seventh place starter Adam McAuliffe, and eighth place starter Andrew Buff. Williams was a straightaway ahead on lap 13 with McAuliffe getting by Borst for the second position on lap 15.

Williams was in lap traffic on lap 16 when the yellow came out for the car of Ryan McCartney who slowed on the backstretch and drove to the pit area. Williams continued to lead on the restart with McAuliffe applying heavy pressure lap after lap until getting the lead on the outside at the finish line to complete lap 21.

McAuliffe hung on for his second win of the season and the 10th of his career in the division at Fonda in the Ed McAuliffe Trucking #234 DKM Cyclone car over Williams, ninth place starter Brian Calabrese, Buff, and Borst.

“Tonight we just stuck with it and were able to get the win,” McAuliffe told Mimi Lazzaro in victory lane.

“This is pretty cool considering that we didn’t really plan on running here regularly,” Hartman Jr. said of his first career championship in the division. “We finished good three races in a row early in the season, got the point lead, and then we had to keep running here. This is a good reward for all of the hard work the crew put into this car the entire season.”

Steve Wagoner led the first nine laps in the Montgomery County Office for Aging Inc. Limited Sportsman feature event with EJ McAuliffe second over that nine lap stretch. On the outside of turn three on lap 10, McAuliffe was the new race leader after getting by Wagoner on the outside of turn three.

The only yellow flag was out on lap 11 for Brett Mortensen and Michael McCallion who were involved in a hard crash in turn four. The wreck started when Mortensen spun trying to avoid contact with the rear of Wagoner’s car and McCallion driving into the rear of Mortensen’s car at full speed with no yellow being thrown early enough to avoid the crash. Mortensen’s car did a 360 degree spin after the contact by McCallion but fortunately neither were hurt in the hard crash.

McAuliffe went on to the win, his fifth of the season and the sixth of his career in the division over Rich Christman, Alan Hanson, Steve Wagoner, and John Young.

“Last week I made a wrong call and ran out of fuel,” McAuliffe said in victory lane. “This week I put a little more fuel in the car but I was really nervous because I wanted to go out and get a win tonight before I move up out of the Limited division.”

“I didn’t run a full season here in the division last year so that’s why I wanted to come back and run a full season here this year before moving up,” McAuliffe said. “This year with Brett (Deyo) coming in we decided to run for a title.”

Chuck Dumblewski was the pole position starter for the 20-lap Algonkin Motel Pro Stock feature and took the lead at the start of the event. The yellow was out at the completion of lap one for a three car crash in turns one and two with Dumblewski continuing to lead on the restart. Dumblewski stretched out his advantage lap after lap while the top two in points, Luke Horning and Nick Stone made their way to the front.

Horning started in the ninth position while Stone started 12th but both were running in the top five by lap five. Horning and Stone were both able to get by Jason Morrison for the second and third positions on lap eight with Dumblewski out to a half straightaway advantage. Just as it appeared Dumblewski would drive to an easy win the yellow came out with two laps to go for debris on the track between turns one and two.

On the restart, Horning took the lead away from Dumblewski and went on to his sixth win of the season and the 20th of his career in the division in the Catalytic Recovery #97 tribute car to Don Warner over Dumblewski, Stone, Morrison, and seventh place starter Josh Coonradt.

“We were a second place car before that last caution,” Horning said. “But when the yellow came out I knew I had a chance at the win.”

“The staff here at Fonda have come in and really turned things around,” Horning said of his first track title at Fonda in the division. “This is what I was hoping to do, get the win tonight to seal up the title.”

Cliff Haslun led every lap in the 15-lap Trackside Body Works Street Stock feature for his first win of the season and the fifth of his career in the division over 2019 Track Champion Jason Samrov, Michael Arnold, Dave Horning Sr., and Josh Samrov.
“This feels great and it’s been a long time coming,” Track Champion Jason Samrov said to celebrate his title in the division. “This is a brand new car for us this season and after five wins
this season, it feels great.”

Ken Hollenbeck led all laps in the 12-lap Four Cylinder Cruiser feature for his sixth win of the season and the 48th of his career in the division over Cole Lawton, Josh Kane, PJ Bleau, and John Napoli.

“I lave Fonda Speedway,” Hollenbeck said while celebrating his sixth championship in the division. “Brett Deyo and his crew did a great job here this year.”

After a break for the annual Fonda Fair, the Fonda Speedway will be back in action on Saturday, September 14 for a full racing program in all divisions along with the CRSA Sprints and Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modified Series (MVVDMS). Starting time for that event will be 6:00 p.m.

Looking at the current point standings in all divisions going into this Saturday, August 10 in the Sunoco Modified division, Rocky Warner leads the way with 765 points on the strength of five feature wins, 10 top five, and 15 top 10 finishes.

Warner will become the 2019 Sunoco Modified Track Champion by starting the feature event this Saturday, August 10 and with this championship, Warner has now won a championship in all four of the divisions that he has competed in during his career at Fonda, a truly historic moment for him and for the Fonda Speedway as well.

FRIESEN COMPLETES A SPECIAL WEEK WITH A WIN AT FONDA

By: Ron Szczerba

Fonda, NY – What could be better than your first career win in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series? A win at your home track on a Saturday night in the division that you have had so much success in during your career, the big block modifieds. That is the dream that Stewart Friesen realized this week as on Thursday evening he was in victory lane after the Dirt Derby at the Eldora Speedway and on Saturday evening he was back home at the “Track of Champions” Fonda Speedway in the Fuccillo Automotive Mike Cole Victory Lane.

It was “Dollar Dog” Night at Fonda on Saturday, which was presented by long time Fonda Speedway supporters Carole and Alton Palmer and their local heavy duty truck repair business Palmer’s Service Center. Alton was the “Grand Marshall” for the evening as he and his driver Bobby Varin paced the feature field during pace laps in their Palmer’s Service sponsored racecars driven by Bobby Varin and Ricky Quick whose car Alton was in for the pace laps.

Alton Palmer’s success at Fonda speaks for itself as he is the All Time Sportsman win leader with 56 along with track championships in the division in 1987, 1996, 1997, 1998, & 1999. He also has five wins in the modified division at Fonda, the first one coming on 8/8/2001 and his last on 5/21/2011.

Other winners on Palmer’s Service Night were Tim Hartman Jr. (Swagger Factory Apparel Crate 602 Sportsman $1,000 to win thanks to Eric Orozco Racing), Rich Christman (Montgomery County Office for Aging Inc. Limited Sportsman), Nick Stone (Algonkin Motel Pro Stock Best of 8 Series $800 to win presented by American Racer Tire), Jason Samrov (Trackside Body Works Street Stock), and Ken Hollenbeck (Four Cylinder Cruisers).

During pre-race ceremonies, Fonda Speedway promoter Brett Deyo presented a photo collage’ to Stewart Friesen for his win in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series on Thursday evening.

“He’s been a friend of mine for a long time, it wasn’t always easy or a lot of fun”, Deyo said to the crowd about his friend Stewart. “You’ve been through a lot during your career and it was tough at times with different cars, car owners, and tracks.”

“I love to travel the northeast racing dirt modifieds,” Friesen said after a big ovation from the crowd. “I am still friends with my car owners through the years and I owe this all to them. After not getting the job done at Pocono in the truck series race, we came back home to Fonda last week and I want to thank you all for your support. Now you can’t come over to me anymore and ask when I’m going to win a truck series race,” Friesen said jokingly.

Last week there was a malfunction with the water truck just before feature time which allowed too much water to escape on to the track. The Algonkin Pro Stock drivers attempted to pack in the track before their feature, using a lot of expensive racing fuel in the process. For their efforts, Fonda Speedway promoter Brett Deyo awarded each of them with an American Racer tire on Saturday night.

During intermission, Deyo along with Jessica Friesen and her and Stewart’s son Parker, presented the Crossroads Center for Children a check for $15,700 from the fundraiser held at the track a couple of weeks ago which included a chicken barbeque and a Chinese auction where many items were auctioned off after being donated by many racing teams and other businesses.

The Waters Family from Dolgeville, NY were the winners of the 50/50 worth $2180! As a side note the Fonda Speedway 50/50 girls have raised approximately $60,000 in sales so far this season! Great job Julie Compani, Heather Marr, and Dylanne Kae!

Joe Kriss performed the National Anthem to start the evening but at feature time it was Sonoco Modified rookie Brian Pessolano and Korey Wilder making up the front row at the start of the 30-lap main event. An early yellow slowed the field with no laps completed with an original restart to follow. The yellow flag was out again at the completion of lap one for Wilder who spun on the backstretch. Under caution, defending track champion Bobby Varin went to the hot pit and restarted at the rear of the field.

Pessolano was the leader on the restart with third place starter Brian Gleason in the second position with another caution out shortly afterwards for a three car wreck in turn three involving Michael Maresca and Scott Huber. A single file restart ensued with Pessolano and Gleason in the top two spots followed by 10th place starter Danny Varin who was now third.

There was another single file restart after two more cautions on lap five before the race finally settled down with Pessolano continuing to lead the event. After a one lap side by side battle, Danny Varin took the second position away from Gleason and at the halfway point in the event it was Pessolano, Danny Varin, Gleason, David Schilling, and Dave Constantino making up the top five.

On a restart after a caution on lap 15, Pessolano chose the outside for the restart which turned out to be the wrong decision as Danny Varin took the lead at that point with Gleason also getting by Pessolano for the second position. Farther back in the top five, Stewart Friesen started to show his speed on the inside of the speedway after starting 11th, taking the third spot away from Pessolano on lap 18.

Gleason and Friesen started to close in on Pessolano with four laps to go with Friesen getting by Gleason for the second position on lap 27. One lap later, Friesen was the race leader after getting by Danny Varin for the lead on the inside of turns three and four with only two laps to go. Friesen would go on to the win, his fourth of the 2019 season and the 58th of his career in the division at the “Track of Champions.”

Danny Varin, seventh place starter Dave Constantino, Gleason, and 12th place starter Rocky Warner completed the top five in the event. After his issues early in the event, Bobby Varin was able to battle back to a fine 10th place finish.

“Great race car, great race team,” Friesen told Mimi Lazzaro in victory lane after exciting the Halmar #44 DKM Cyclone. “It was certainly fitting for me to win on the dirt at Eldora earlier this week and I want to thank all of the Fonda fans for their support. Now we are going to go and celebrate a couple of wins.”

The 25-lap Swagger Factory Apparel Crate 602 Sportsman feature began with Brian Borst in the lead from his outside pole position start. Borst extended his lead to a full straightaway over Harry Shaffer before the yellow flag was out on lap 11 for Jeremiah Munson who was in the wall in turn two. On the restart eighth place starter Tim Hartman Jr. was the new second place car followed by 10th place starter Brian Calabrese and seventh place starter Tony Farone.

Farone’s great run came to an end on lap 15 when he and JaMike Sowle were involved in a wreck in turn two. On the single file restart, Hartman took over the lead on the outside of the backstretch just before the caution was out again for Borst who had his front end collapse after contact with another car in turn two. The top five at that point consisted of Hartman Jr., Calabrese, 16th place starter Aaron Burton, sixth place starter Andrew Buff, and 12th place starter and defending track champion Chad Edwards.

With five laps to go, Edwards was making moves through the top five into the third position on lap 21 after getting by Buff, while Mark Mortensen made his way into a top five position after starting back in the 19th spot. Hartman Jr. would go on to his fifth win of the 2019 season and the ninth of his career in the division in the Lussier’s Autobody #22 over Calabrese, Edwards, Buff, and Mortensen.

“That was a lot of fun,” Hartman Jr. said in victory lane following the event. “I get to come here on victory lane to take the pictures but it is my crew that gets me here with all of their hard work during the week and the adjustments made here at the track.” When asked by Mimi Lazzaro in victory lane about people thinking that he may be running illegally, Hartman said “It doesn’t really matter I’m standing here in victory lane.”

The Montgomery County Office for Aging Inc. Limited Sportsman 20-lap event began with pole starter Bill Port leading early before Steve Wagoner took over the lead before lap one was completed. Fourth place starter EJ McAuliffe took the second position away as lap one was completed and on lap four on the inside of turns three and four McAuliffe was the new race leader.

The yellow flag was out on lap four with McAuliffe, Wagoner, John Young, ninth place starter Rich Christman, and last week’s winner and seventh place starter Michael McCallion making up the top five. McAuliffe continued to lead on the restart with Christman falling back to the eighth position at that point. McCallion took the second position away from Wagoner on lap five but was in the turn four wall a few laps later bringing out the caution flag.

When Wagoner slowed suddenly on lap 11, Alan Hanson took over the second position with the yellow coming out for Wagoner who came to a stop on the backstretch. Somehow Christman ended up restarting in the third position and when McAuliffe slowed on the final lap Christman was able to get around him on the outside of turn one and go on to his fourth win of the season over Hanson, McAuliffe, Young, and 10th place starter Brett Mortensen.

The Algonkin Motel Pro Stock feature started with Justin Knight leading the 20-lap event from his outside pole position starting spot. By the time lap four was completed, Knight was out to a straightaway lead until the caution flew for Jason Morrison who was in the backstretch wall. Fourth place starter Jim Normoyle was the new second place car on the restart but when he slid up high in turn three it allowed Ivan Joslin to take over the position.

Luke Horning and Nick Stone started the event in the sixth row with both in the top five by lap eight, Horning in the third position and Stone completing the top five. Stone continued his march to the front, getting by Kenny Gates for the fourth position and then Horning for third at the halfway point. Stone got by Joslin for the second position on lap 12 and tried many times to get by Knight on the inside of each turn of every lap.

Stone made the inside move stick in turn three on lap 17, taking over the lead with Horning also getting by Knight for the second spot. Stone went on to his third consecutive win, the 45th of his career in the division in the Meltz Lumber/RCT Roofing #27. Horning, Gates who got by Knight for the third position on the final lap, and Joslin completed the top five.

“There is definitely tough competition here at Fonda but we’ve been able to hit on the setup the last couple of weeks,” Stone said in victory lane. “I just kept plugging away at the bottom, but once I got by for the lead I wanted to move to the top. Everybody wants to get the lead right away, but I just stayed patient until I was able to.”

Josh Samrov led the first two laps of the 15-lap Trackside Body Works Street Stock feature before fourth place starter Dave Horning Sr. took over the lead on lap three on the inside of turn three. Jason Samrov started the event in sixth position and was behind Horning Sr. in second at that point with Rob VanAernam third after starting seventh.

VanAernam spun in turn four on lap 10 bringing out the red flag after Stephen Young was also collected in the accident after making contact with VanAernam’s stopped car. Young was put on a backboard and taken to the hospital for observation but an update on Stephen on Sunday morning as Fonda Speedway NYSSCA Track Rep Bonnie Mortensen contacted him, he was very sore but okay. Great news for sure!

Jason Samrov went on to his fifth win of the season, the 13th of his career in the division, and currently leads the points going into next week’s Benjamin Moore Championship Night when all 2019 track champions will be crowned. Horning Sr., Michael Arnold, VanAernam, and Josh Samrov completed the top five.

Ken Hollenbeck led all 12-laps in the Four Cylinder Cruiser feature event for his fifth win of the season and the 47th of his career in the division which is top on the all-time win list. Cole Lawton, PJ Bleau, John Napoli, and Riley Pedrick completed the top five in the event.

Next Saturday, August 10 all 2019 Fonda Speedway Track Champions will be crowned in all divisions on “Championship Night” presented by Benjamin Moore. All divisions will be in action and it will also be “Backpack Giveaway Night” presented by Fonda Speedway management and the Fonda Speedway Kid’s Club led by Ashley Abeling. Racing will start next Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
