2022 FONDA SPEEDWAY SCHEDULE OFFERS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE

Fonda, NY – 2022 will be the fourth year that Brett & Heather Deyo of BD Motorsports Media LLC will be promoting the “Track of Champions� Fonda Speedway along with general managers Jamie and Denise Page and their entire staff.

Bringing the excitement, the fans, and the racers back to the “Track of Champions� has been a priority of the current management team and with the many different ideas of promoting events with the fans and racers in mind they have certainly accomplished that.

The historic track located on the Montgomery County Fairgrounds will be celebrating the 71st season of weekly competition in 2022 and the recently released schedule will not disappoint any race fan as it has something for everyone. The schedule features a total of 22 racing events with the featured weekly divisions including the Modifieds, Crate 602 Sportsman, Limited Sportsman, Pro Stocks, and Four Cylinders.

SPECIAL MEMORIAL EVENT

On Saturday, April, 23 Andy’s Speed Shop will present the “Jack Johnson Memorial� Montgomery County Open 40-lap $12,000 to win Modified event with Sail Panels featuring 25 show up points for the Modifieds. All other divisions will also be in action along with the Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modified Series (MVVDMS).

FOR THE FANS

Saturday, May 7 will be “Dollar Night� featuring $1 grandstand admission with all divisions in action.

Saturday, June 11 will feature Bill Lake Modular Homes presenting “Fan Appreciation Night� with $5 grandstand admission. All divisions will be in action along with the Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modified Series and a pre-race driver meet & greet.

Saturday, July 9 will be another “Fan Appreciation Night� featuring $5 grandstand admission with all divisions in action along with Crate 602 Sportsman Challenge Races.

Saturday, July 23 will feature the “Fan Favorite� Modified Twin 20’s paying $1,500to win each event along with all other divisions in action with no increase in admission!

FOR THE SERIES LOVERS WHO COME TO SEE THE TOURING SERIES DRIVERS

On Sunday, July 3 the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) fueled by Sunoco Modifieds will compete in the “Firecracker 50�, a 50-lap $10,000 to win, $500 to start event. The STSS Crate 602 Sportsman will also be in action in a 30-lap $2,000 to win event with 25 show up points awarded to drivers in both divisions. A huge fireworks display will conclude the racing program.

On Saturday, September 17 the STSS Series will be back with the prestigious “Fonda 200� paying $53,000 to win! STSS Modified B-Main events will also be run along with the STSS Crate 602 Sportsman competing in a 30-lap, $2,000 to win event!

MINI-SERIES FOR FONDA AND UTICA ROME DRIVERS

On Saturday, May 28 the “Thunder on the Thruway Series� Modifieds will compete in a 40-lap, $4,000 to win event along with the “Thunder on the Thruway Series� Crate 602 Sportsman competing in a $1,500 to win event, and the “Thunder on the Thruway Series� Pro Stocks who will be competing in a $1,000 to win event. All other divisions will also be in action.

On Saturday, July 2 the “Thunder on the Thruway Series� Modifieds will compete in a 40-lap, $4,000 to win event along with the “Thunder on the Thruway Series� Crate 602 Sportsman competing in a $1,500 to win event, and the “Thunder on the Thruway Series� Pro Stocks who will be competing in a $1,000 to win event. All other divisions will also be in action along with the Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modified Series (MVVDMS). Hall of Fame Inductions will also take place at the Fonda Speedway Hall of Fame & Museum for the class of 2022.

On Saturday, July 16 One Zee Tees and AIM Autism will present “Autism Awareness Night� with the “Thunder on the Thruway Series� Modifieds competing in a 40-lap, $4,000 to win event along with the “Thunder on the Thruway Series� Crate 602 Sportsman competing in a $1,500 to win event, and the “Thunder on the Thruway Series� Pro Stocks who will be competing in a $1,000 to win event. There will also be a pre-race chicken barbeque and silent auction.

FOR THE SPRINT CAR FAN

The Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints (ESS) 360 Sprint Cars will return to the Fonda Speedway for the first time since 2018 with two appearances in 2022 on Saturday, May 14 and on Saturday, August 6 with all other regular divisions in action on both race nights.

The CRSA Sprint Cars will be in action three times in 2022 at Fonda on Saturday, June 4; Saturday, July 30; and Friday, September 16. All regular divisions will also be in action on June 4 and July 30 while September 16 will also include STSS Modified Qualifying Races for the Fonda 200 along with Pro Stocks ($1,000 to win), Street Stocks ($500 to win), and Four Cylinders.

The Patriot Sprint Tour (PST) will be in action at Fonda on Saturday, June 25 along with all other regular divisions.

FOR THE VINTAGE FAN

The Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modified Series (MVVDMS) will be in action at Fonda for five events on Saturday, April 23; Saturday, May 21; Saturday, June 11; Saturday, July 2; and Saturday, August 13.

Since 1953, the “Track of Champions� Fonda Speedway has hosted the best in stock car racing. Under the management of BD Motorsports Media LLC, the speedway will operate weekly on Saturday nights from April through August plus several special events.
